Day 120. Four full months. We've moved decisively into the off-season pivot, and the data is interesting. Posts about gear (Days 91–99) and fitness/mindset (Days 113–119) are getting more search traffic than the resort spotlights of February.
What We've Learned in the Pivot
- Beginners search at night. Most blog traffic now lands between 21:00 and midnight UTC, suggesting people researching their next winter trip from the sofa.
- Buying-vs-renting is the most-read post so far. Day 105 outperformed every resort post.
- The day-2 quit post (Day 115) has the highest dwell time. People read it slowly. That tells us emotional content matters as much as technique content.
What's Next
Days 121–150 step into the mechanics — how to actually move the snowboard. Falling leaf, edges, linking turns, the first tricks. Theory-heavy content for off-snow study, with video links and bullet-point checklists you can save for your first real session.
Then days 151–170 swing to hotspot locations — the actual mountains and resorts where you'll book your first trip. By July, anyone reading along has the gear, the fitness, and the technique knowledge to walk into a snowboard shop and confidently book the holiday.
