Terms of Service

These Terms govern the Bonvo Ski mobile app, bonvo.ski, business.bonvo.ski and related services (the “Service”). The Service is provided by Bonvo Consulting Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság, registered at 4440 Tiszavasvári, Gombás András utca 22/C, Hungary, company registration number 15-09-094812, tax number 33087458-2-15.

By using the Service, the user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and children

Children may use Bonvo Ski with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian, especially for accounts, purchases, content and location sharing.

A parent or legal guardian is responsible for approving and supervising a child’s account, purchases, user content, group participation and location sharing. If local law requires a particular age for consent or a transaction, that law applies.

2. Accounts

• Account details must be accurate and kept current.
• Users are responsible for protecting credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access.
• Users may not impersonate another person or use the Service to harm, harass or unlawfully track anyone.
• Accounts and associated content can be deleted through available settings or by contacting us.

3. Availability and feature status

Bonvo Ski is free to ski with: 3D maps, offline maps, friends on the map and basic run recording cost nothing. Summit Pass unlocks power tools such as unlimited recordings, drawing tools, advanced stats and AI Snow Studio. Availability can vary by platform, release and region.

Bonvo Ski is currently available on iOS. The Android app is coming this season (winter 2026/27). Until then, the web map at bonvo.ski works on any phone. Features marked Beta may change or be temporarily unavailable. Roadmap and Concept items are not current functionality, release commitments or contractual promises.

4. Summit Pass and purchases

• The only subscription or paid entitlement name used by Bonvo is Summit Pass.
• Current price, billing interval, trial, included features and regional availability are shown before purchase and control over general marketing copy.
• App Store subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled in the user’s Apple account settings.
• Apple processes App Store payments and refund requests. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
• A partner code or funded entitlement, if offered, may have separate eligibility and expiry conditions shown when issued.

5. Maps, offline use and connectivity

Downloaded maps, resort data, the user's GPS position and run recording can work without mobile service. Live group positions require a connection; offline, the last synchronized position may remain visible until connectivity returns.

Offline availability requires the relevant data to be downloaded successfully in advance and enough device storage. Downloads may need renewal after map or app updates. Weather, live status, group updates, purchases and other server-backed features require a connection.

6. Location and groups

Bonvo Ski uses location while the map is in use or while the user has started a ski run. Background location is used only to keep an active run and its optional live location continuous when the screen is locked or the app is not in the foreground.

• Location and group sharing are optional and can be stopped by the user.
• Live group positions require connectivity; an offline marker may be only the last synchronized position.
• Users must invite only trusted people and must not share another person’s location or personal data without permission.
• Location sharing is not an emergency, rescue or child-monitoring service.

7. Safe mountain use

• Pay attention to terrain, weather, other people, signs, closures and instructions from ski patrol or authorities.
• Bonvo data may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate and does not replace official resort information, avalanche services, rescue services, training or safety equipment.
• Do not rely on the Service to decide whether off-piste, backcountry or closed terrain is safe.
• Users remain responsible for route choice, ability, equipment and compliance with local rules.

8. User and AI content

Users retain ownership of content they submit. They grant Bonvo a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate the selected feature. Users must have the necessary rights and must not submit illegal, unsafe, infringing or abusive content.

Optional AI output may be inaccurate or resemble other content. Users must review it before use and must not use AI features to violate privacy, publicity, copyright or other rights.

9. Insurance status

Insurance integration is a partner concept, not a currently available insurance product, coverage promise or brokerage service.

Nothing in the current Service is an insurance quote, recommendation, policy, guarantee of coverage, claims decision or emergency assistance. Any future regulated journey will require separate partner terms and legal approval before launch.

10. Intellectual property and map sources

Bonvo owns or licenses the Service, brand, software and editorial content. Map data may include OpenStreetMap contributors’ data under the ODbL and other licensed sources. Required source notices must be preserved. No right is granted to scrape, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the Service except where law expressly permits it.

11. Suspension and changes

We may suspend access reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address security issues or enforce these Terms. We may modify or discontinue features, but this does not remove rights already acquired under mandatory consumer law.

12. Responsibility and consumer rights

The Service is provided with reasonable care, but uninterrupted availability and error-free third-party data cannot be guaranteed. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. To the extent permitted by law, Bonvo is not responsible for indirect loss caused by reliance on outdated map, weather, lift, group or third-party information.

13. Governing law and disputes

Hungarian law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protection in their country of residence. Courts and dispute-resolution bodies have jurisdiction as determined by applicable consumer and procedural law.

14. Contact and Apple terms

For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard EULA also applies where incorporated by the App Store listing.
