Day 250 — 250 Days In, First Snow Around the Corner

Day 250. Two hundred and fifty daily posts, and the timing could not be better. As you read this in mid-October, the first glaciers and high-altitude resorts are opening for the season. After months of off-season prep, snow is genuinely around the corner.

How Far You Have Come

If you have followed along through the off-season, look at everything you have built toward your first season on snow.

  • Fitness. Strength, balance, and endurance work that will pay off on every run.
  • Gear. A board tuned and waxed, boots fitted and broken in, layers chosen.
  • Skills. Dryland drills, indoor sessions, and mental rehearsal banking muscle memory.
  • Planning. Knowing how day one flows and what to expect when you arrive.

The Season Is Nearly Here

Glacier openings in October are the first real chance to ride. Pre-season trips to high resorts let keen beginners get on snow weeks before the main season. Even if your trip is later, the countdown has truly begun, and the buzz in the snowboarding world is building.

The Run-In to Your First Trip

The next handful of posts are pure pre-trip logistics: checklists, packing, insurance, lift-pass tech, and getting your apps ready before you fly. Knock these out and you arrive calm, organised, and free to focus on the fun part.

From here it is all downhill, in the best possible way. Open Bonvo, load the resort you are dreaming about, and let the 3D map fuel the excitement. Your first turns are close now.
