Ski Zillertal Arena — Zell am Ziller to Gerlos in One App

The Zillertal Arena links Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Königsleiten, and Krimml into one connected ski area with 150 km of slopes. It is one of those resorts where the terrain spans multiple valleys, and without a good map, you can easily end up on the wrong side of the mountain wondering how to get back.

Understanding the Layout

The Zillertal Arena runs roughly east to west, with Zell am Ziller on the western end and Krimml on the eastern side. The key to navigating it is understanding the ridge connections — lifts take you up to shared high points where you choose which valley to descend into. On the 3D map in Bonvo.Ski, this layout becomes immediately clear. You can see the ridgeline, the valley floors, and exactly how each sector connects.

Lift Filtering for Valley Traverses

When you want to traverse from Zell am Ziller all the way to Gerlos, you need specific lifts in a specific order. Use the Lift Filtering feature to isolate gondolas and chairlifts along your planned route. This strips away the visual noise of surface lifts and T-bars that are not relevant to your traverse, leaving you with a clean path across the mountain.

Highlights of the Zillertal Arena

  • 150 km of slopes — well-groomed and varied
  • Arena Coaster and fun slopes for families
  • Krimml Waterfalls nearby — the highest in Austria
  • Reliable snow — north-facing slopes and solid snowmaking

Load up the Zillertal Arena in the app, rotate the 3D map, and plan your cross-valley adventure. It is more manageable than you think once you can see the connections.
