Booking Ski and Snowboard School in Advance — What to Expect
You have chosen your resort and your lesson type; now book the school early. Beginner classes are the first to sell out, and waiting until you arrive can mean no place at all in a busy week. Here is how to book and what your first days will look like.
How to Book
- Book online, weeks ahead. Most resort schools take advance reservations and the popular morning beginner slots go first.
- Choose snowboard-specific classes. Make sure you book snowboard lessons, not generic ski school, as the technique is different.
- Pick morning sessions. Snow is better, you are fresher, and afternoons are free to practise.
- Confirm the meeting point. Know exactly where and when to show up on day one.
What Your First Lessons Look Like
- Gearing up. Strapping in, finding your stance, and learning to move on flat ground.
- Sliding and stopping. Heel-side and toe-side edge control on a gentle slope, the real foundation.
- Falling safely. Yes, this is taught, and it matters more than you think.
- Linking turns. By the end of the week, most beginners can link basic turns down a green.
Set Your Expectations
Day one is humbling and you will fall a lot. That is completely normal. Progress comes in sudden jumps, often on day three or four. Be patient and trust the process.
Between lessons, use Bonvo.Ski to find the gentlest green runs to rehearse what you learned, so every practice session reinforces your class instead of overwhelming you.
