Packing List for a Week-Long Snowboard Trip
A snowboard trip is the rare holiday where forgetting a single item ruins your day on the mountain. Here is the no-nonsense packing list, refined over countless trips.
On the Mountain
- Snowboard (if bringing own) — Day 163 packing guide
- Boots
- Bindings
- Helmet
- Goggles (medium-tint + light-tint lenses if you have them)
- Jacket and pants
- Base layers — 3–4 sets
- Mid-layer fleece or puffy — 1 piece
- Snowboard socks — 7 pairs
- Gloves or mittens + spare pair
- Wrist guards, impact shorts, knee pads (if you use them)
- Neck warmer or balaclava
- Beanie for après
Off the Mountain
- Warm jacket for evenings
- Indoor shoes (your boots are heavy)
- Casual clothes — 4–5 outfits
- Swimsuit (hotel spa/sauna)
- Sleepwear
Health & Tech
- Lip balm, sunscreen SPF 50, ibuprofen, blister plasters
- Phone charger + power bank
- Travel adapter
- Hand warmers (2–4 packs)
- Lift pass holder (often a clip or zip pocket on jacket)
Documents
- Passport / ID
- Travel insurance — read the fine print on off-piste coverage
- Lift pass voucher (if pre-purchased)
- Resort and accommodation address printed on paper
