Export Your Runs — How to Use GPX Files from Bonvo.Ski
Every run you record in Bonvo.Ski lives on your device — but what if you want to archive it, analyze it in another app, or share it with someone who does not use Bonvo.Ski? That is where GPX export comes in.
What Is a GPX File?
GPX (GPS Exchange Format) is a universal file format for GPS data. It stores a sequence of latitude, longitude, elevation, and time points — essentially a breadcrumb trail of everywhere you went. Nearly every outdoor and mapping app in the world can read GPX files: Strava, Google Earth, Komoot, Garmin Connect, and many more.
How to Export from Bonvo.Ski
- Open the recordings tab and select the run you want to export.
- Tap the share or export button — You will see an option to export as GPX.
- Save or share — Send the file via AirDrop, email, or save it to your Files app.
What Can You Do with the GPX File?
- Import into Strava — See your ski run alongside your cycling and running activities.
- Open in Google Earth — Fly along your ski track in 3D satellite imagery. It looks incredible.
- Archive your season — Save all your GPX files in a folder. Years from now, you can relive every run.
- Analyze in detail — Tools like GPS Visualizer let you create charts, heatmaps, and animations from GPX data.
Your ski data is yours. GPX export ensures it is never locked inside a single app. Record in Bonvo.Ski, export when you want, and use it anywhere.
