Grindelwald-First — Ski Beneath the Eiger with 3D Terrain Views

There is something almost surreal about skiing with the Eiger North Face towering above you. Grindelwald-First is one of those resorts where the mountain scenery alone is worth the trip — but the skiing is excellent too, and with Bonvo.Ski you can explore every run in full 3D before you even leave the gondola station.

Two Sectors, One Spectacular Valley

Grindelwald's ski terrain splits into two main areas: Grindelwald-First on one side and Kleine Scheidegg–Männlichen on the other. First is the local favourite — a mix of intermediate cruisers and steeper pitches that drop toward the village. Kleine Scheidegg sits directly beneath the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, offering some of the most photogenic runs in the Alps.

How to Navigate It in Bonvo.Ski

  1. Open the resort — Search for Grindelwald in the resort selector and load the 3D map.
  2. Rotate the view — Pinch and spin to see how the First gondola climbs from the village to the summit station at 2,168 m.
  3. Use slope search — Tap the search icon and type a slope name to jump directly to it on the map.
  4. Check slope rankings — Use the family or advanced filters to find the right terrain for your level.

The 3D terrain rendering really shines here because the valley walls are so steep. A flat map cannot convey how dramatically the runs drop away from the ridgeline. In Bonvo.Ski you see it all — elevation, steepness, and the relationship between the two sectors — at a glance.

Download the Grindelwald map for offline use before you ride up. Cell coverage on First is patchy, and you will want the map available all day.
