No Signal on the Mountain? Download Your Ski Map Before You Go

Cell service on a ski mountain is unreliable at best. Dead zones are everywhere — in valleys between peaks, on chairlifts, and especially in backcountry areas. If you rely on your phone for navigation, you need offline maps.

How to Download Offline Maps in Bonvo.Ski

  1. Open the app and navigate to your ski resort.
  2. Zoom in to the area you want to save for offline use.
  3. Tap the download button to pre-download the map tiles for that region.
  4. Once downloaded, you will see slopes and ski lifts even without any internet connection.

When to Use Offline Maps

  • Before your trip — download on hotel Wi-Fi the night before
  • Remote resorts — smaller Alpine resorts often have weak coverage
  • Backcountry — when you leave the groomed slopes, signal disappears fast
  • International travel — avoid roaming charges by staying offline

Plan ahead, download the map, and never get lost on the mountain again.
