No Signal on the Mountain? Download Your Ski Map Before You Go
Cell service on a ski mountain is unreliable at best. Dead zones are everywhere — in valleys between peaks, on chairlifts, and especially in backcountry areas. If you rely on your phone for navigation, you need offline maps.
How to Download Offline Maps in Bonvo.Ski
- Open the app and navigate to your ski resort.
- Zoom in to the area you want to save for offline use.
- Tap the download button to pre-download the map tiles for that region.
- Once downloaded, you will see slopes and ski lifts even without any internet connection.
When to Use Offline Maps
- Before your trip — download on hotel Wi-Fi the night before
- Remote resorts — smaller Alpine resorts often have weak coverage
- Backcountry — when you leave the groomed slopes, signal disappears fast
- International travel — avoid roaming charges by staying offline
Plan ahead, download the map, and never get lost on the mountain again.
