Ultra Live Heading Mode — Navigate Like a Pro with Compass Orientation

This is one of the most powerful navigation features in Bonvo.Ski, and it is surprisingly easy to activate. Ultra Live Heading mode locks the map to your position and rotates it based on your compass heading. This means the map always points in the direction you are facing.

How to Activate Ultra Live Heading Mode

1. Double-tap the My Location button (blue dot icon in the bottom-right)
2. The map centers on your position and begins rotating with your movements
3. A compass indicator appears showing which direction you are facing
4. As you turn, the map turns with you

Why This Changes Everything

Traditional maps require you to mentally rotate directions in your head. If the map shows a slope to the "right," but the map is oriented north and you are facing south, you have to reverse it. Ultra Live Heading mode eliminates that mental math.

What you see is what you get. If a slope appears to the left on your screen, it is physically to your left in the real world.

Augmented Reality Camera View

When Ultra Live Heading mode is active, you can tap the camera button to enable AR overlay. A live camera feed appears at the bottom of the screen, and nearby slopes, lifts, and amenities are labeled in real-time as you pan the camera around.

This is incredibly useful at complex intersections or when scouting terrain from the top of a lift.

When to Use It

• Complex resort navigation — places like Les 3 Vallées with dozens of route options
• Poor visibility — fog or snowstorms where landmarks are hidden
• Unfamiliar terrain — first time at a resort
• Meeting friends — coordinate exact locations using compass bearings

Pro tip: To exit Ultra Live Heading mode, just single-tap the My Location button again.
