Create a Group and Share Location — Never Lose Your Friends on the Mountain
Skiing with a group is fun until someone gets separated. Cell service is spotty, texts do not go through, and suddenly you are searching all of Courchevel for your friend. Groups in Bonvo.Ski solve this.
How to Create a Group
- Go to the Groups tab in the app
- Tap "Create Group"
- Name your group — e.g., "Ski Trip 2026"
- Set a password (optional but recommended for privacy)
- Share the group code with your friends
Your friends enter the group code and password to join. Once everyone is in, you can all see each other's locations on the map (if location sharing is enabled).
What You Can Share in Groups
- Live location — see where everyone is in real-time
- GPX recordings — share your ski runs
- Drawings — share custom backcountry maps
- Photos and videos — capture memories
- Text posts — coordinate meet-ups and plans
- Meeting points — drop a pin where everyone should gather
Privacy and Control
You are always in control of what you share:
- Location sharing is opt-in — you choose when to broadcast your position
- Password-protected groups — no one can join without the code
- Leave anytime — exit a group with one tap
Groups are perfect for families, friend groups, or ski schools coordinating on the mountain.
